Dr. Chris Gouveia is a Chiropractor who received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Guelph. He continued with his graduate studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded the Academic Excellence award for graduating among the top of his class. Dr. Gouveia was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada.
Dr. Chris Gouveia is a Chiropractor who received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from the University of Guelph. He continued with his graduate studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was awarded the Academic Excellence award for graduating among the top of his class. Dr. Gouveia was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada the nation’s capital.
Dr. Chris arrives in Toronto after practicing for 4 years in Boca Raton Florida. He honed his craft working in an elite sports therapy office. While practicing in Florida, Dr. Chris had the opportunity to work with athletes of all levels including NFL athletes, professional tennis players, and countless Ironmen and women. For two seasons Dr. Chris and his clinic worked with an NFL combine training camp managing 30-40 athletes as they were put through grueling training to prepare for the NFL combine in Indianapolis. In 2020, he travelled with the group to Indianapolis to take care of his athletes as they participated in the NFL combine
In 2022 Dr. Chris completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Practioner (CCSP) program and passed his board exam hosted by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™. The CCSP required 100 additional hours of sports-specific education including management of sports injuries, injury prevention, and nutrition.
Dr. Chris serves his community by promoting a healthy active lifestyle for all patients. He uses chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, and corrective exercise prescriptions in all of his treatment plans to help patients recover from a wide variety of injuries and support healthy living. Through his passion for the outdoors, sports, and helping others, Dr. Chris has made it his mission to help get people back on their feet and do what they love. In treating Chris uses The McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT), is a certified Active Release Technique (ART®) provider, and bases much of his rehab on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization training. Chris’ philosophy of treatment is established from evidence-based chiropractic principles. His pursuit of excellence in clinical care is supported by his continuous education of new techniques and treatments.

Omar’s history in athletics extended to multiple sports including soccer, track and field, kick-boxing, swimming, sky running and tennis to name a few. He received his first two degrees in Italy before moving to Canada in April 2017. Once in Canada, he accomplished two other college programs to become a manual osteopath and massage therapist within 2 years. Concurrently, he was (and is) taking international courses to develop a better understanding of the complexity of organ manipulation.
Omar’s work experience started in Italy as an Athletic Trainer for tennis players. He continued down this path and became the head personal training and health fitness intrusion for local gyms. Once he obtained the degrees in Sports Science and the diplomas as a massage therapist in Italy, he became the Movement Specialist and Therapist for a private rehabilitation centre alongside the lake of Lecco and Como, Italy.
Once Omar moved to Canada, he worked for X3 Lab as a therapist for Triathalon athletes and Osteoklinika for the general public in Toronto, ON. All while never stopping to educate himself in the field of natural body building, fitness and nutrition.
As part of his newest ventures, he decided to move to Sudbury to practice osteopathy and massage therapy. He brings forth the idea of a bio-structural approach treating people with a combination of Bioflex Laser Therapy and Manual treatment to optimize healing and recovery.

Hiba Mahdi graduated from the University of Guelph majoring in Human Kinetics with a minor in nutrition. She went on to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at Macquarie University, located in Sydney, Australia.
In addition to her education, Hiba has extensive experience in physiotherapy. She received her sports trainer level 1 certification and had the privilege of working alongside a rugby team in Sydney during their 2018 season. Hiba was responsible for pre-game preparation of players, assessment of injuries and rehabilitation of injuries. She has also participated in an international placement in the United Kingdom at St. George’s Hospital. As one of London’s largest hospitals, Hiba gained valuable experience in working with individuals who suffered from chronic conditions as well as post-op surgery patients who were recovering from ACL reconstruction.
Hiba has a great interest in various forms of research and plans on integrating evidence based practice into her career. She has conducted research that analyzed the feasibility and relationship between direction of force and signs of concussion in professional National Rugby League players using video analysis.
As someone who is very active and grew up playing sports, Hiba understands the importance of improving technique and preventing injuries. She is passionate about working with patients to achieve their goals through education, self management, manual therapy, exercise prescription and training modifications.

Experience: Toronto FC + Academy, Toronto FC Juniors, University of Guelph Men’s Hockey team, and Varsity Wrestling.
Erika grew up as a competitive soccer player, but due to several knee injuries, her career was cut short. It was through her injuries that she was introduced to Athletic Therapy, which led her down the path to pursue AT as a profession. Erika is a graduate of Sheridan College- BAHSc Athletic Therapy program and is passionate about education and learning new skills/concepts. She strives to help patients understand their injuries and make them more body aware through a combination of exercise-based treatment and hands-on skills.
